Hull earns first LPGA title

Australia's Katherine Hull won the Canadian Women's Open on Sunday for her first LPGA Tour title, taking advantage of Yani Tseng's final-round meltdown for a one-stroke victory at Ottawa Hunt. The 26-year-old Hull, six strokes behind Tseng at the start of the round, shot a 3-under 69 to finish at 11-under 277. Se Ri Pak closed with a 72 to finish second, and Tseng's 77 left her two strokes behind at 9 under.

Funk wins JELD-WEN Tradition by 3

Even with a widening lead in the final found of the JELD-WEN Tradition, Fred Funk pretended he was trailing. "We were going down the second fairway and my caddie, Mark (Long), said 'Let's say you are four behind,"' Funk said. "We were trying to make it as if we were behind all day. Don't protect anything and fire at all the flags." The aggressive Funk won his first Champions Tour major title, closing with a 3-under 69 on Sunday for three-stroke victory over Mike Goodes at the Crosswater Club.

Carl Pettersson won his hometown event for his first PGA Tour victory in two years, shooting a 2-under 68 on Sunday for a two-stroke victory in the Wyndham Championship. The local favorite, former North Carolina State player and member of the tournament's board had three birdies during a four-hole stretch on the back nine, finished at 21-under 259 and earned $918,000. Scott McCarron, who briefly led midway through the final round, shot a 68 and to finished second.
