Greg Norman turned down an invitation Monday to play in the PGA Championship, deciding to stick to a previous commitment instead of competing for the fourth straight week.
The PGA of America offered Norman an exemption after he had the 54-hole lead in the British Open and finished third. Norman tied for fifth last week at the Senior British Open, and will play this week in the U.S. Senior Open at The Broadmoor in Colorado.

Vaughan downs Cook in playoff to win OpenSunday, July 27th, 2008
Bruce Vaughan has won the Senior British Open after holing a 20-foot putt to beat John Cook in a playoff.
Cook squandered a three-stroke lead after 10 holes and went to the 72nd still leading Vaughan by one on Sunday. But Cook fired his tee shot into the rough and he made a bogey 5 to finish with an even par round of 71. Vaughan made a 70 and they returned to the 18th tee after 6-under scores of 278 for a sudden death playoff.
Vaughan holed his putt and Cook missed his from 12 feet.
Alfredsson beats rookie to win Evian MastersSunday, July 27th, 2008
Helen Alfredsson won the Evian Masters Sunday for her first LPGA Tour title in five years, after defeating rookie Na Yeon Choi at the third sudden-death playoff hole.
The 43-year-old Swede made a three-foot birdie putt on the par-5 18th hole while the 20-year-old Choi, of South Korea, only managed par.
Alfredsson shot a 67, Choi carded 66 and overnight leader Angela Park had a 71 as all finished with 15-under totals of 273 to force a three-way playoff.
Kim, Reavie tied for Canadian Open leadSaturday, July 26th, 2008
Anthony Kim made nine birdies and an eagle in 21 holes Saturday in the Canadian Open for a share of the lead with Chez Reavie during the suspended third round at rain-softened Glen Abbey.
Kim, tied for 26th at 4 under through 15 holes when second-round play was suspended Friday night, went birdie-birdie-eagle Saturday morning for a 2-under 69, then added a bogey-free 64 in the third round to match Reavie at 15 under.

Park hangs on to lead at Evian MastersSaturday, July 26th, 2008
Angela Park birdied the final three holes for a 4-under 68 Saturday to keep a one-shot lead after the third round of the Evian Masters.
The 19-year-old Park, who has dual Brazilian and American citizenship, had a total of 14-under 202. Taiwan-born Candie Kung, who also has U.S. citizenship, was one shot back after a 67.
"I was playing mediocre throughout the whole round," Park said. "I didn't see anyone else go extremely low so I tried to stay positive and it came around.
Cook takes Senior British Open leadSaturday, July 26th, 2008
John Cook took a one-stroke lead in the Senior British Open on Saturday, shooting a 4-under 67 to capitalize on the midround collapse of fellow American Bruce Vaughan.
Vaughan birdied the par-3 eighth to take a three-shot lead at 7-under, but then bogeyed four straight and Cook rolled in a 4-foot birdie at 13 for a two-stroke lead at Royal Troon.
Lundberg leads Russian Open after third roundSaturday, July 26th, 2008
Former champion Mikael Lundberg shot a 4-under 68 Saturday to take a one-stroke lead after the third round of the Russian Open.
Lundberg, who shared the overnight lead with fellow Swede Jarmo Sandelin, has a 17-under 199 total. Jamie Moul of England, who started the day tied for 11th place, was in second after a bogey-free 64, the day's best round.
England's Benn Barham (65) and Michiel Bothma of South Africa (66) were tied for third at 14-under 202.
