UCLA's Kevin Chappell shot a 76 on Saturday to wrap up the NCAA men's individual golf championship and help the Bruins hold off Pac-10 rivals Stanford and Southern California for the team title.
Chappell finished the tournament at 2-under 286. The Pac-10 player of the year also led after the first round on Wednesday and had a three-round total of 210 after shooting a 68 on Saturday.
Indiana's Jorge Campillo and Washington's Nick Taylor tied for second, three shots back with a 1-over 289.
Gustafson takes control at Ginn TributeSaturday, May 31st, 2008
Sophie Gustafson shot a 67 Saturday to push past a faltering Karrie Webb and take a six-stroke lead into the final round of the Ginn Tribute.
Tournament host Annika Sorenstam, meanwhile, continued to struggle at her namesake event with a 75.
No one could keep up with Gustafson in the third round.
Tied with Webb when the round began, Gustafson started quickly with an eagle and two birdies her first six holes to go four up on the Australian Hall of Famer.
Price grabs one-stroke lead after second roundSaturday, May 31st, 2008
Nick Price shot a 5-under 66 to take a one-shot lead after the second round of the Principal Charity Classic and get back in position for his first Champions Tour victory on Saturday.
Price blew a two-shot lead in the final round of the FedEx Kinko's Classic in early May.
He will enter Sunday's final round at Glen Oaks Country Club with a 6-under 136 total. Six players, including Bobby Wadkins and Mark McNulty, were one shot back.
Strange leads by 3 after third round in WalesSaturday, May 31st, 2008
Scott Strange maintained a three-shot lead after the third round of the Wales Open on Saturday, despite falling ill on the back nine.
The 31-year-old Australian, who began the day with a four-stroke lead, shot 2-under 69 to reach 15-under for the tournament. He led Spanish tour rookie Alvaro Velasco, who shot a third-round 68, on the Celtic Manor Twenty Ten course.
Lewis, Walshe lead Americans at Curtis CupSaturday, May 31st, 2008
Former NCAA champion Stacy Lewis and Alison Walshe stayed perfect on the Old Course, hanging on to win the final fourball match Saturday to give the Americans a 7 1/2-4 1/2 lead in the Curtis Cup.
Lewis, who won the NCAA title at Arkansas last year, played all four team matches over two days and won them all, but the final one might have been the most important.

Michelle Wie shot a 2-under 70 in the third round of the Ladies German Open on Saturday to fall seven strokes behind leader Amy Wang, who had a course record 63.
Wie came into the day at 7-under, and birdied the third and seventh holes. But the 18-year-old Hawaiian had a bogey on No. 9 before finishing up with a birdie on the 11th to sit at 9-under 207.
Wang, an 18-year-old South Korean living in Orlando, Fla., was at 16-under after her lowest round as a pro.

Goggin, Perry tied at top of Memorial leaderboardFriday, May 30th, 2008
The first sign of hope at the Memorial came from the scoreboard, which showed Mathew Goggin coming back to the pack after a blazing start. The second sign came from the gray skies that promised some relief from a brutal test of golf.
Goggin birdied four of the first five holes before strapping in for a wild ride of birdies and bogeys that ultimately added to an even-par 72 that left him tied for the lead with two-time champion Kenny Perry, who recovered from a rugged start for a 71.
