Annika clinging to 1-shot lead over Creamer

Annika Sorenstam struggled with her putting Saturday, yet shot a 1-under 70 to take a one-shot lead over Paula Creamer after three rounds of the Stanford International Pro-Am. Sorenstam, seeking her 71st LPGA Tour victory, has won five straight events when she's taken a one-shot lead into the final round. She chipped in for birdie on the second hole, then made 12 consecutive pars before a bogey at the par-3 15th.

Watson, North lead Legends

No wonder Tom Watson and Andy North campaigned so hard for a return to team play in the Liberty Mutual Legends of Golf. They're very good at it. Watson and North combined for a better-ball 62 at The Club at Savannah Harbor on Saturday for a 23-under 121 total and a four-stroke lead heading into the final round. Brad Bryant and Lonnie Nielsen (60) were tied for second with Jeff Sluman and Craig Stadler (63).

Clarke takes lead at Asian Open

Northern Ireland's Darren Clarke shot a 5-under 67 in the third round Saturday to take a one-stroke lead at the Asian Open. Clarke, a Ryder Cup regular, moved to 9-under 207 for a one-shot lead over second-round co-leader Robert-Jan Derksen (69) of the Netherlands. England's Robert Dinwiddie finished strongly to record the best round of the day, a 6-under 66, to move a stroke behind Derksen.

Scott fires 67 for 1-shot lead at Byron Nelson

Adam Scott returned to Australia after the Masters. It was a short visit. "I felt like I was still playing good and I shouldn't waste that at home," Scott said. So instead of staying home for a second week, Scott was a deadline entrant into the EDS Byron Nelson Championship, where Friday he shot a second-round 67 to take the lead at 5-under 135.

Sorenstam trails Kim by 1 shot in Florida

Annika Sorenstam has made no secret that she wasn't thrilled about the course setup this week at the Stanford International Pro-Am. That doesn't mean she doesn't enjoy - and thrive on - demanding courses. Sorenstam shot a 4-under 67 on the Soffer course Friday, drawing her within one shot of Young Kim at the midway point of the inaugural event, being contested at Turnberry Isle. Kim also shot a 67, matching her first-round score on Turnberry's Miller track.

Watson, North lead on Champions Tour

Tom Watson and Andy North have been partners in victory before on the Champions Tour. This time, however, it means a lot more. Watson and North teamed to birdie the first seven holes en route to a better-ball 13-under 59 on Friday for a three-shot lead after the first round of the Liberty Mutual Legends of Golf tournament at The Club at Savannah Harbor. "For a while there, we said, 'Let's birdie them all,"' North said. "That's sort of what you have to do.

Woods leaves no timetable for return

Tiger Woods is no longer on crutches since surgery last week on his left knee, but he said Friday in his monthly newsletter that he does not know when he will return. "I knew a couple of months ago I was going to have the surgery," Woods said. "The knee has been bugging me for a while. The only decision was do you miss the Masters or play in the Masters? I decided to play. Even if I had won, I still would have had the surgery.
