Andrew McLardy and Gary Murphy each shot a 4-under 66 Thursday to share the first-round lead at the rain-suspended Mallorca Classic.
Thunderstorms forced organizers to stop play at 4:30 p.m. (1430 GMT) with 60 players still out on the course.
Joakim Backstrom, James Hepworth and Graeme Storm trailed the leaders by one stroke.

Suzann Pettersen topped yet another LPGA Tour leaderboard Thursday, shooting a 7-under 65 in warm and breezy conditions to take a two-stroke lead over Alena Sharp of Canada in the Honda LPGA Thailand.
Seeking her second straight victory and third in four weeks, Pettersen missed an opportunity to take a much bigger first-round lead, playing the final seven holes in 1 over after birdieing eight of the first 11. Read the Full Story Here

Arron Oberholser pulled out of the World Cup on Monday with a recurring hand injury that will require surgery, and PGA Tour officials were searching for a replacement for the U.S. team.
"I'm disappointed not to have the chance to represent my country, but I hope I'll have more chances in the future," he said.
Oberholser was the highest-ranked American to accept a spot in the Omega Mission Hills World Cup, to be played Nov. 22-25 in China, and he selected Sean O'Hair as his partner. Read the Full Story Here

Ron Whittaker won the Chattanooga Classic on Sunday to wrap up a spot next year on the PGA Tour, closing with a 2-under 70 for a one-stroke victory over David McKenzie in the Nationwide Tour event.
The 36-year-old Whittaker, a playoff loser last week in Texas in the WNB Golf Classic, had a 17-under 271 total on the Black Creek Club course.

John Cook won his first Champions Tour title in his second start on the 50-and-over circuit, closing with a 6-under 65 on Sunday for a two-stroke victory over Mark O'Meara in the AT&T Championship.
Cook, the 11-time PGA Tour winner who turned 50 on Oct. 2, began the round two strokes behind O'Meara and Tom Kite and was three behind after a bogey on the par-4 third hole at Oak Hills Country Club. But Cook birdied the next two holes, and added five more birdies on Nos. Read the Full Story Here

Norwegian star Suzann Pettersen won the Hana Bank KOLON Championship on Sunday when high wind and unplayable conditions on the stressed putting surfaces forced tournament officials to call off the final round.
"I guess it has to kind of sink in that I actually won this tournament," Pettersen said. "Of course, it's not the way I want to win. You want to complete the tournament as it is originally set up, but this time the last round wasn't playable.
