International captain Gary Player wasn't thinking about that on Wednesday when he placed Weir - like Mickelson a natural right-hander who swings left-handed - and Vijay Singh opposite Mickelson and Woody Austin in the second foursomes match.

Six players from each Presidents Cup team took turns sitting behind a long table during two days of press conferences at Royal Montreal, and it was no coincidence that the center seat belonged to the top players.
