U.S. finalizes 10-man Walker Cup teamMonday, August 27th, 2007
The United States finalized its 10-man team for the Walker Cup by adding Rickie Fowler and Kyle Stanley, leaving out British Amateur champion Drew Weaver and U.S. Amateur finalist Michael Thompson.
The United States will try to retain the cup Sept. 8-9 at Royal Country Down in Northern Ireland against an amateur team from Great Britain & Ireland, which has not lost at home since 1991.
The other U.S. members previously chosen by the USGA are U.S. Amateur and U.S.

U.S. Solheim Cup team announcedSunday, August 26th, 2007
Juli Inkster is the veteran on a young U.S. Solheim Cup Team that will compete to defend its championship next month in Sweden.
The team was announced Sunday by captain Betsy King after the Safeway Classic. The team of 12 players includes Paula Creamer, the top points earner for a place on the squad, as well as captain's picks Nicole Castrale and Laura Diaz.
Watson eagles second playoff hole to winSunday, August 26th, 2007
Denis Watson eagled the second hole of a seven-man playoff to win the Boeing Classic on Sunday.
Playing No. 18 for the third time in an hour, Watson hit a 3-wood to about 18 feet, then made a 22-foot putt, giving an emphatic fist pump as the ball dropped to end the largest playoff in Champions Tour history.
Craig Stadler missed a long eagle putt from the front of the green, and R.W. Eaks missed his 12-footer for eagle.

Lorena Ochoa won her third straight LPGA title with a five-stroke victory in the Safeway Classic on Sunday.
Ochoa shot a 71 in the final round for a 12-under 204 at Columbia Edgewater Country Club for her sixth victory of the season.
Knost wins U.S. Amateur golf championshipSunday, August 26th, 2007
No matter what Colt Knost accomplishes after his pro golf career begins in a few months, he realizes he'll be hard-pressed to top his remarkable final summer as an amateur.
Knost won the 107th U.S. Amateur Championship on Sunday, holding off Michael Thompson 2 and 1 to win both of the nation's biggest amateur golf events in six weeks.
Knost, a stocky 22-year-old whose good-natured Texas twang masks his penchant for playing angry, is only the second golfer to win the Amateur and the U.S.
Fisher wins Dutch OpenSunday, August 26th, 2007
Ross Fisher birdied the final hole for a final-round 3-under-par 67 and survived a rules inquiry for moving a bramble on the 12th to win the Dutch Open by one stroke on Sunday for his first European Tour victory.
Fisher, who started the day tied for the lead with David Carter and Steve Alker, bogeyed Nos. 16 and 17 but sunk an 8-foot putt on the last to finish with a 12-under 268 and beat local hopeful Joost Luiten.
Pettersen wins SAS MastersSunday, August 26th, 2007
Suzann Pettersen shot a 4-under 68 Sunday to win the SAS Masters by nine shots.
Pettersen, who had five birdies and one bogey, finished at 12-under 204 total. Nikki Garrett (71) was second at 3 under, followed by Diana Luna (74) and Anja Monke (74) at 1 under.
The sixth-ranked Pettersen is a two-time winner on the LPGA Tour this season. She won her first major at the LPGA Championship and is currently second on the tour's money list.
