Tom Watson missed a five-foot putt at the last hole and tossed away a share of the halfway lead at the Senior British Open on Friday while Nick Faldo lost his putting touch and slipped back to a share of sixth. Watson's miss at 18 for an even-par 71 handed the lead to Des Smyth, who had been holding the clubhouse lead at 2 under for more then six hours at windswept Muirfield where no player broke 70 on Friday.
