Vancsik wins Madeira Islands Open
Daniel Vancsik won the Madeira Islands Open by seven strokes Sunday after shooting a 4-under 68 in the final round.
The Argentine, who finished at 18-under 270 total, won for the first time on the European PGA Tour. He had seven birdies and three bogeys Sunday.
David Frost (68) and former champion Santiago Luna (69) tied for second at 11 under.
Frost double-bogeyed the fourth hole but birdied eight others. Luna, who the Madeira Islands Open in 1995, had six birdies and three bogeys.
