Ernie Els reached an equipment deal with Callaway Golf on Wednesday. Terms of the endorsement contract weren't disclosed.
The South African star worked out a deal last week with Acushnet - the maker of Titleist equipment and FootJoy shoes - to end his contract a year early.
Callaway said the three-time major champion will begin the deal by using a Callaway ball and bag and wearing its logo on the sides and back of his cap. Read the Full Story Here

The Washington D.C. area has finally found a way to make sure Tiger Woods shows up to play there. Let him host the tournament. Woods' foundation has reached an agreement with the PGA Tour to host an event in the nation's capital ... during the Fourth of July, no less.

After winning the Accenture Match Play title Sunday, Henrik Stenson moved up to No. 5 in the world golf rankings. But should the 30-year-old Swede be considered one of golf's elite players? Even he isn't sure about that, at least not until he wins a major.

Bobby Wadkins won The ACE Group Classic on Sunday, holing a 13-foot birdie putt on the final hole for a 4-under 68 and a one-stroke victory over Allen Doyle in the U.S. Champions Tour event.
Wadkins, the brother of 2000 champion Lanny Wadkins, finished with a 15-under 201 total and earned $240,000 (?182,730) for his fourth American seniors tour title. Doyle shot a 70.

Geoff Ogilvy had won 11 straight matches at the Accenture Match Play Championship dating back to last year, but Henrik Stenson broke his impressive streak Sunday. In a back-and-forth, 36-hole final, Stenson closed out the defending champion with consecutive birdies for a 2-and-1 victory.

Fred Funk won one for the old guys Sunday.
Playing with an achy back befitting his senior status, the 50-year-old Funk won the Mayakoba Golf Classic on the second hole of a playoff with Jose Coceres to became only the second man to win a U.S. PGA Tour event after winning on the Champions Tour.
"I think I validated how good the players are on the Champions Tour," Funk said. "Even though you are 50 or 51 through 55 ... age doesn't really mean anything. I just want to see how long I can last. Read the Full Story Here

Face-down on the ground behind the 13th tee, with a trainer mashing on his back and his three-shot lead shriveled into a tie, Fred Funk's trip to the Riviera Maya suddenly wasn't looking like much fun.
"I wasn't even sure I could finish," Funk said. "I couldn't move. I couldn't bend over."
Then he popped up and grimaced his way to a birdie. Then another. In between, the guy he'd been tied with made a bogey.
