Rich Barcelo shot an 8-under 64 in chilly conditions at PGA West to take a three-stroke lead over Australia's Paul Gow after the second round of the U.S. PGA Tour's 108-hole final qualifying tournament on Thursday. Barcelo, who has reached the U.S. PGA Tour just once in eight previous qualifying tries, had a 9-under 135 total. He played the Jack Nicklaus Tournament Course on Thursday after opening with a 71 on the Stadium Course. The top 30 and ties after six rounds will receive U.S.
